5 Scriptures that Encourage Faith

How many times have you looked at your situation and thought….”This is not what I have worked for!” I know I have! Which is why I am sharing 5 scriptures that encourage Faith and the importance of remembering God’s promises.

(1) Numbers 23:19
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

Think about this scripture, how many times have you gotten to a point and just wanted to give up and not only did the Lord show up, but he SHOWED OUT!

Karate MottoI personally use this scripture to remind me that as a follower of Christ it is important to remember that GOD is GOD. The End! He has and always will have my best interest at hand. Even if I don’t understand the hows, I have to ensure that my faith is solid and firm in him because he is not a man/ woman who lies to appease emotions; but rather he delivers, consoles, sets free and does the impossible when we simply allow him to be God in our lives.

(2) Isaiah 7:9b
“If you are not firm in faith, you will not be firm at all.’”

(3) Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

These scriptures help me to realize that everyone is firm in faith about something. Especially if that something is tangible and visual. The challenge comes when you have to believe in that something that isn’t seeable and touchable. This is when you have to activate your faith to stand FIRM and withstand all and any doubts. Is it challenging? Of Course! But, please tell me what thing that is worth having isn’t worth working for and having faith in.

(4 & 5) Hebrews 12: 1-2
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

There are times as a wife, mother, health care professional, and aspiring author when I just want to take a BREAK from it all! But, then I remember that in all things there is a purpose. Now where the process may not be comfortable, it is always profitable and beneficial to the end goals that I am running towards. My children motivate me to leave a legacy and not just a dream. I work, fight, and toil with everyday trials to ensure that they witness how God is more than what we see him be. It takes faith to do what many think you can’t or imply you aren’t deserving to do. It takes faith to believe in a vision that many aren’t privy to and most importantly don’t understand the purpose for. Stand FIRM in your Faith. Stand FIRM in your vision. Yes, there are many others out there who may be in the same niche as you, but I promise they will not have the same deliverance in message and purpose that God has charged you for. Stay Focused! Your dream and vision are very important! Have the faith to see it through!
